Indonesian educators visit

We welcomed a delegation of Indonesian educational professionals from the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation Regional Open Learning Centre (SEAMEO SEAMOLEC)...

To travel is to broaden the mind and this is as true for educators as it is for anyone else...

IMI is always happy to open its doors and extend hospitality to fellow teaching professionals from around the world and we enjoy nothing more than the exchange of cultural ideas, techniques and educational philosophies.

It was, therefore, our pleasure to welcome a delegation of visitors from Indonesia’s Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation Regional Open Learning Centre (SEAMEO SEAMOLEC) based in Jakarta.

The visitors consisted of educational leaders from Indonesia as well as the Director and Vice Director of South Sumatera’s Educational Department. It was also our honour to welcome Indonesia’s representative in Switzerland H.E. Ambassador Linggawaty Hakim.

On a beautiful Swiss sunny day, our guests enjoyed the spectacular view from our campus before Memorandums of Understanding were signed by IMI’s President Mr. Heinz Bürki between our school and the South Sumatera Educational Department as well as SEAMEO SEAMOLEC.

To round off their visit, the delegation then enjoyed lunch in our fine-dining Swiss Room restaurant and got to meet with some of IMI’s Indonesian students.

We would like to thank SEAMEO SEAMOLEC, the educational professionals and H.E. Ambassador Linggawaty Hakim for taking the time to visit us and we look forward to developing the ties between our organisations going forward.
