How to Apply to IMI
Applying to IMI Switzerland is a straightforward process, and our admissions team is here to assist you at every step. Follow the steps below to begin your journey towards joining our international family.
Admission Process
01. Prepare for Your Application
Before you start your application, please make sure that these documents are ready:
1. Signed Application Form
2. Scanned Passport Copy
3. Academic Transcripts
4. Proof of English Proficiency
5. Motivation Letter

02. Submit Your Application
Complete the online application form on our website and upload the initial documents: academic transcripts, a copy of your passport, motivational letter and an English language certificate.
03. Academic Evaluation
04. Letter of Acceptance (LOA)
Upon successful evaluation, we will issue a LOA outlining your study programme, tuition fees, and payment deadlines. This is your first official step toward becoming an IMI student.
05. Secure Your Place
To confirm your place at IMI, pay the registration fee as stated in your LOA. Once this is done, we will issue the official Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) — a key document for your visa application.
06. Study Visa Application (for non-EU/EFTA students)
Apply for a Swiss student visa at your local Swiss Embassy or Consulate. This process typically takes 4–12 weeks. IMI will provide the necessary documentation and guidance to support your application.
07. Final Fee Payment
Settle the remaining school fees according to the deadlines in your acceptance letter to complete your enrolment process.
