Certificate Programme in International Hotel & Tourism Management

Covering hospitality and management basics as well as university study skills, this certificate programme is designed for school leavers and, on completion, allows for direct entry onto any of our UK-accredited Bachelor’s programmes. A comprehensive curriculum – covering both practical and theoretical study units – prepares students to take on degree-level study.

Who it’s for?

This certificate programme is designed for high school leavers from Grade 10 level who are looking to pursue a BA (Hons) degree in hospitality, business or culinary management at IMI Switzerland.

One semester (typically 6 months).

You will build a strong base in hospitality and business fundamentals, academic English, and study skills. Small classes and dedicated support help you adapt to the Swiss education system and excel in future degree studies.

Upon successful completion of the Certificate (and meeting the required grades), students gain direct entry into the first year of our BA (Hons) programmes.

Certificate students are part of the IMI community from day one – you live on campus, can join student activities, and even get an introduction to industry through short field visits. This way, you transition smoothly into undergraduate life.

Requirements

  • A recognised high school certificate or equivalent qualification (such as GCSEs or O-Levels)

  • Minimum age of 17 at the start of the programme

  • English proficiency at IELTS 4.5 or an equivalent standard
