BIG Tasty

With winter drawing in, we chose a flavourful theme for our 2018D BIG Week, celebrating the best tastes of Switzerland...

As the days get shorter and the temperature drops, there is nothing better than keeping cosy indoors and enjoying some heartening food and drink.

We very much embraced this spirit for our November BIG Week where we celebrated the 'tastes of Switzerland' with our new arrivals on campus. 

Highlights of the week included a fondue masterclass with Chef John where our students learnt about the different types of this Swiss classic dish as well as preparing and tasting.

We also held a special culinary quiz in our Swiss Room restaurant where we tested our students knowledge of a wide-range of international food and drinks and different local culinary traditions.

All the usual BIG Week staples were back, including the introduction to Swiss-German, the BIG City Treasure Hunt and the Swiss Lunch (raclette of course!).

It was great fun getting to know all the new members of the IMI family and enjoying some fantastic tastes and flavours inspired by our local environment.

A BIG thanks to all our student volunteers who helped our during the week and the staff members who organised the different events!
