The great thing about Switzerland is that there is just as much to do in the warmer seasons as in the traditional winter ski season with hiking, lake swimming and a whole host of outdoor adventures available.
Set over two-weeks, the Summer Programme allows students, who are considering to study in Switzerland, the chance to experience both work and play on the picturesque IMI campus.
Divided into culinary and hospitality groups, the students will attend information and class sessions with our experienced faculty, giving them a real insight into the work involved for degree study.
In addition, students can attend English or German language classes to improve their level and enhance their confidence in both verbal and written communication.
But of course, we do not want to keep students too long in the classroom while the Swiss sun is shining…
Over the course of the two weeks, there will be a range of activities and excursions, introducing the participants to some of the typical cultural and leisure activities enjoyed by the Swiss.
As well as introducing them to the city of Luzern and the Kastanienbaum countryside surrounding our campus, we will also take the students on full day excursions which, in the past, have included a trip to a Swiss water slide park and a gondola up Mount Pilatus to enjoy the rope park activity centre.
The Summer camp is a great opportunity for anyone who is considering to study at IMI, or for a hospitality or culinary arts degree, to come and experience first-hand living at a leading Swiss hotel school.
Staying in one of the most beautiful and safest areas in Switzerland, all our visitors can be assured of an unforgettable two-weeks giving memories that will last a lifetime!
