We were delighted to sign a renewed partnership agreement with Indonesian school Padjadjaran University Bandung...

Welcoming students from over 35 different countries each semester and with a diverse, international faculty, IMI is a school with a truly global outlook.

This international reach is complemented and enhanced by our many partners institutions, situated across the globe, who provide us with students looking to complete their hospitality management studies here in Switzerland.

It is always a great experience to visit these partners on our travels and provide guest lecturers for their students; however, it is equally as pleasurable when we get the chance to welcome them here to campus Kastanienbaum.

UNPAD students and faculty discuss the importance of our two schools' agreement.

Visiting to sign a renewal of our schools' Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) contract, it was a delight to be able to host faculty members
Prof. Dr. Maman Setiawan, Vice Dean for Academics, Students, and Research, and Dr. Rudi Kurniawan, Head of the Office of International Affairs from our Indonesian partner Padjadjaran University, Bandung (UNPAD).

IMI and UNPAD have had an agreement in place since 2020 which allows for the transfer of UNPAD's students to the final year of our hospitality or business management degree programmes.

We are proud to already count many UNPAD students as our alumni after they completed their studies with us and it was fantastic that Prof. Dr. Setiawan and Dr. Kurniawan were able to meet current UNPAD transfer students Citra, Mohammad and Nabeel during their visit to Switzerland.

The impressive UNPAD campus is situated in Bandung, Indonesia.

The signing of the new MoA was carried out on campus with IMI Owner and Co-Founder, Mr. Heinz Bürki, and Academic Dean, Mr. Gareth Currie.

After the formal ceremony was completed, there was a chance for our guests to spend some time exploring the beauty of our central-Switzerland location.

As well as enjoying a guided tour of the historic city of Luzern, they also paid a visit to the top of Mount Rigi where they could enjoy spectacular views over Lake Lucerne and the surrounding area.

Both our guests remarked on the beauty of our campus location and were very impressed with the stunning natural views that our students get to enjoy every day and the peaceful and safe study environment.

"Our students are very happy here! This is a very important experience for them to help launch their career in the international business (sector).

Dr. Rudi Kurniawan, Head of the Office of International Affairs, UNPAD Indonesia

We are delighted to have renewed and strengthened our relationship with UNPAD through this visit and it was a pleasure to host their faculty members on campus.

There is no better testimonial for our partner schools than their staff being able to experience first-hand how happy their students are here at IMI and in their spectacular Swiss study location.

We look forward to welcoming many more UNPAD students in forthcoming years as this important academic partnership goes from strength to strength.
