A Royal Celebration

It was a great honour for our students to volunteer at the King's Birthday Celebration at the British Embassy in Bern...

We were delighted to be invited back to the British Embassy to help them celebrate King Charles III's offical birthday celebrations
.

The event, which takes place every 15th June, coincides with the King's Birthday Parade - also known as the Trooping of The Colour - which is held in London and dates back to 1748 as the monarch's 'official' birthday (his actual birthday is the 14th November).

It is traditional that British Embassies around the world hold a party to celebrate the occasion and we are lucky that, for the past few years, our students have been invited to volunteer at the celebration held in Bern.

"Our talented students had an unforgettable day... showcasing their exceptional skills and professionalism learnt under our guidance and teaching. They helped ensure this prestigious event ran smoothly and was a fitting celebration for the UK monarch."

Mr. Anthimos Georgiou - Culinary Arts Programme Leader

Serving traditional British snacks, canapés and drinks, the event was an excellent opportunity for our young hospitality and culinary arts students to put their skills to the test at the highest level (and it doesn't come much higher than a royal party)
.

Under the watchful eye of the British Ambassador Mr. James Squire and his guests, our students impressed with their smooth, friendly and professional service and, as ever, were a credit to our school.

As well as dignitaries and ambassadors from other embassies, the event also brought together local business figures and industry professional representing the UK in Switzerland

Our students impressed with their professional and friendly service.

An afternoon of fine dining, music, dancing and merriment was a fitting tribute to King Charles and our students were very excited to play a role in it.

It is tribute to them, and the excellent reputation IMI holds within Switzerland, that organisations such as the British Embassy look to us when they need assistance with these high profile events.

We would like to thank Ambassador Squire and the embassy staff for including us once again in this fantastic celebration and we look forward to many more years of close collaboration.
