We were delighted to see the return of our Student Ambassador Programme for 2023, where we welcomed students from some of our international partner schools...
It was a great feeling to be able to welcome young hospitality students from some of our international partner schools this June.
The Student Ambassador Programme (SAP) is the chance for specially selected students to spend a week on the IMI campus, experiencing the best of our Swiss hospitality and enjoying various excursions alongside academic sessions.
Unable to run the programme for the last two years due to Covid restrictions, it made the arrival of the students from partners Asian Institute of Technology and Management in Nepal, Fanshawe College in Canada and Tunku Abdul Rahman University College in Malaysia extra special.
The students had a fantastic and action-packed week with us which, aside from attending academic classes and workshops, included a Luzern city tour, a trip to the top of Mount Pilatus and a professional visit to the luxury Hyatt Zürich Airport hotel.
This was a great opportunity for the students to get a first-hand feel of what living and studying at a leading Swiss hospitality school is like and the ambassadors will now be able to return to their schools and share this experience with their peers.
Commenting on the importance of this programme to IMI, CEO and programme leader Prof. Gavin Caldwell said: "We were delighted to bring back the SAP this year to further foster and strengthen our collaboration with our recognised Partner Schools."
He added: "These students are now official IMI Ambassadors who will go forth and promote and represent these academic partnerships and, as excellent and professional students, we also hope to be able to welcome them to IMI again in the future."
We would like to thank the partner schools that participated in this year's programme and we look forward to welcoming more students from even more partners in 2024!
