Café Concept Competition

17 February 2016

From the chic French riverside establishments to the more functional English breakfast pit-stops, cafés have always played an important role in our cultures.

For term 16A, IMI is delighted to launch a student Café Concept Competition! The challenge is to produce a business concept for a student café which will be run on campus by students for fellow students, staff and visitors. The winning conc ept will be implemented and fully operational on campus later this year.

Students will work in groups of four to develop their proposals and will then have the opportunity to present their ideas to the judging panel in June. This is a great opportunity for students to put the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom into practice in a real business concept and then see the results of their work in action. It will also result in a great new facility that all students and visitors can benefit from and add to our existing on-campus dining options. We would encourage as many students as pos sible to participate in this contest by registering through the dedicated Moodle page. Good luck to all those taking part!"
