Alumni publishes cook book

We were excited to learn that Korean alumna Emily Minji Chae has just released her very first cook book...

IMI students go on to do many diverse and exciting things after graduation...

Among our alumni we have film stars, authors, entrepreneurs and, as you might expect, many executives within the hospitality, leisure and tourism industries.

We were delighted to discover that our latest alumni success story comes from Korean alumna Emily Minji Chae who has just had her first cook book published.

Emily’s interest in traditional cooking was enhanced as part of her Hotel and Event Management studies at IMI, where she took various food and beverage and culinary modules.

Coming from a strong tradition of Korean home cooking, she developed her skills after moving to Hong Kong where she worked as a Korean cooking tutor and restaurant consultant.

Living in Hong Kong with husband Max (also an IMI alumni), she began to develop more and more exciting new Korean recipes as well as fusion dishes.

This culinary journey reached its natural conclusion with this year’s publication of “Korean Wife’s Secret Recipes”. The book, which is divided by the four seasons – Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter – includes 50 Korean recipes, popular with both natives and foreigners.

We can’t wait to read Emily’s book and try some of the recipes and we wish her all the very best with, what we are sure will be, a long and successful career in the culinary industry…
