Partner School Study Visit

17 July 2017

Students from partner school KDU University College completed their 'Sustainable Trends in Tourism & Hospitality’ unit with us here in Switzerland...

At IMI, our students study in a truly international environment alongside classmates from all corners of the globe.

We believe this internationalism is a key factor to preparing students to work in the global hospitality market where cultural understanding is a must.

To add to this nationality mix, we are always delighted to welcome study groups from IMI’s Malaysian partner school KDU University College Kuala Lumpur on campus with us.

The KDU students visit as part of a special study arrangement where they complete their ‘Sustainable Trends in Tourism & Hospitality’ module by taking units both in Malaysia and here at IMI in Switzerland.

This has the benefit of exposing students to a wide variety of teaching styles and also letting them experience the cultural differences between Asian and European hospitality education.

Joining us for a week at our Kastanienbaum campus, the KDU class attended a number of their module lectures before being awarded with their completion certificates by IMI Dean Professor Benetatos at the end of their stay.

As ever, the visiting students were a credit to their school and it is always pleasing to see how well the KDU and IMI students integrate as they live and work alongside each other for this short period.

We look forward to welcoming our next batch of KDU guests in the near future…
