IMI at HILDIKTIPARI Conference

23 October 2017

IMI's Dr. Carrie Ann Brühlmann was a keynote speaker at the HILDIKTIPARI Conference on Tourism and Hospitality...

Our lecturers are busy people and, when not teaching at IMI, they are often flying around the world to attend major conferences and industry events.

It was a real honour for the school to have our very own Dr. Brühlmann invited to issue a keynote address at the fourth, annual HILDIKTIPARI International Conference on Tourism and Hospitality.

Organised by AITTEI, Indonesia and WXIT, China, the conference was held in Wuxi (close to Shanghai) with the theme: 'International Tourism Education: Towards a responsible and sustainable tourism'.

Presenting on policy implementation for the tourism sector, Dr. Brühlmann drew on her vast experience within academic research as well as her career as an educator in the hospitality and tourism sectors.

The event was a great success and the variety of voices and thinkers in attendance all helped to further the cause of developing a more consolidated view for researchers in the fields of hospitality, recreation, entertainment and tourism.

Dr. Brühlmann expressed her pleasure at being able to represent IMI at such a prestigious international event and, as a school, we will continue to ensure that we are at the forefront of academic thinking in these exciting and developing markets.
