Chef Caine on tour

07 November 2017

IMI's Senior Culinary Lecturer Chef Caine has been busy visiting some of our Malaysian partner schools to deliver a special series of guest lectures...

One of IMI's chief goals as a school is to instil our students with a thirst for knowledge and learning.

We are lucky to have strong relationships with partner schools worldwide which means that we can take this mission around the globe.

Our Senior International Culinary Arts lecturer Chef Anthony Caine was excited to be able to work with students in Malaysia as he visited two of our partner schools in the country.

Delivering guest lectures at Tunku Abdul Rahman University CollegeCilantro Culinary Academy and KDU Penang University College, Chef Caine introduced the aspiring chefs to some classic European techniques perfected over his many years as a Master Chef in the industry.

As always, learning is a two-way process and it was great for Chef Caine to be able to sample some traditional Malaysian cooking techniques and dishes during his visit to the two institutions.

We are also very lucky to be able to welcome many leading, international chefs to our IMI kitchens to work with our culinary students and we believe it is this exchange of knowledge that makes us a truly international school.

We look forward to Chef Caine’s return to see what new techniques and flavours he has to introduce to us!
