Student Ambassadors at IMI

28 November 2017

Once again, it was a pleasure to welcome student ambassadors from our international partner schools to spend a week with us on campus...

Our relationships with our international network of partner schools is very important to us at IMI.

This is why we decided to setup our Student Ambassador programme, where chosen representatives from the schools can come and spend a week experiencing life in Switzerland and on our campus.

For our November 2017 programme, we were delighted to welcome students from countries including Canada, Malaysia, Korea and New Zealand.

The students were treated to the full Swiss experience which included a city tour of Luzern, a trip up Mount Pilatus, a hike in the Kastanienbaum countryside and a specially arranged cheese and wine tasting.

As well as this insight into the ‘Swiss experience,’ the ambassadors also got to attend both hospitality and culinary arts classes led by IMI faculty and experience some of the teaching which has led to the school’ reputation for academic excellence.

The week was rounded off with the presentation of certificates and a review session where the students could share their impressions of the week and memories of their time with us.

The students’ feedback was universally positive and they spoke highly of the warm, family-like reception they had received from everyone at the school.

Particular thanks must go to the IMI student mentors who were chosen to accompany the visiting students on excursions and act as their contact points during the week – a job they carried out with great professionalism and enthusiasm.

We very much enjoyed welcoming such a pleasant group of visitors to IMI and hope that they get the opportunity to return in the near future.
