Confiserie Bachmann Visit

18 April 2016

Our Higher Diploma students had the chance to pitch their project ideas to representatives from leading Swiss chain Confiserie Bachmann.

One of IMI's key objectives as a hospitality institution is to ensure our students are fully prepared for the world of work upon graduation.

This is why we like to relate the theory we teach in the classroom with real industry scenarios so that our students see how, what they learn from their textbooks, can later be applied in their future careers.

Our Higher Diploma students were lucky enough to be able to present to management representatives from the Confiserie Bachmann chain last week.

Their proposals for the ΓÇ£Chocotel by BachmannΓÇ¥ project were based on a real scheme by the company to launch a chocolate themed hotel in the city of Luzern.

This project was a great way for our students to apply their learning to the corporate world and receive feedback from leading industry figures.

The delegation from Bachmann were very impressed with what our students had prepared for them and valued the opportunity to get the perspective of those just staring on their career paths in the industry.

We would like to thank our visitors for taking the time with our students and hope to be able to welcome them back to work on future projects in the future.
