Dinner Time!

06 March 2018

To increase the practical training opportunities for students, our Swiss Room restaurant opened for its very first dinner service...

IMI's Swiss Room has always been the go-to restaurant for students looking for a fine-dining lunch experience.

However, for those for whom one three-course gastronomic experience per day just isn’t quite enough, we are excited to announce that the Swiss Room will now be open for dinner service each Monday of term 2018A.

This will have the joint benefit of allowing more students to experience the excellent cooking of the chefs in our kitchens as well as offering additional practical experience to students who will take shifts working in the restaurant.

For the opening night, there was a full-house of students in the restaurant excited to discover what culinary treats would be on offer on the new evening menu.

The kitchen team did not disappoint with a poached egg and smoked salmon starter, glazed duck breast with apricot and oyster mushrooms for main and a vanilla parfait with grilled pineapple, hazelnuts and rum to round things off in sweet style.

Everyone in attendance had a great time and there was a real buzz in the restaurant reflecting the new experience on offer to the students. We look forward to many more fun (and delicious) evenings over the course of the term…
