Culinary Cup Success for Diploma students

20 April 2016

It was our Diploma students who came out on top in our second ICI Culinary Cup competition for term 2016A.

Congratulations to our culinary Diploma students who claimed the 2016A ICI Culinary Cup.

The competition, held each term on campus, pits each level of Culinary degree students (Diploma, Higher Diploma and BA) against each other to impress the IMI diners with their custom lunch menus.

The standard of food was again excellent this term, with the Diploma students' spicy pork and rice combination proving especially popular.

After aggregating the results of the feedback forms collected over the week from staff and students, the Diploma students emerged as the clear winners and are the latest name on the cup following the BA students who triumphed in 2015D.

As well as being good fun and engaging our culinary students in some friendly competition, the Culinary Cup also gave them the opportunity to be creative and introduce their own concepts to our Main Dining Hall.

Thanks to all the culinary students for providing some truly excellent meals and we can't wait for the competition to renew again in 2016B...
