Our MBA students attended an exclusive 'People Management' workshop at the newly opened 25HoursHotel in Zurich...

One of the major benefits of studying at a hotel school is the access to a vast network of hospitality contacts that you receive.

With over 25 years of experience in the industry, IMI offer students great exposure to leading industry figures and thinkers.  

As part of their ‘International Hotel Management’ unit, our MBA students had the chance to attend a ‘People Management’ workshop hosted at the 25Hours Hotel Zurich West and led by Mr. Pierre Botteron (founder of the People on Board company).

Mr. Botteron is a frequent visiting lecturer at IMI and has worked for many years with FRHI Hotels & Resorts (Fairmont, Raffles and Swissôtel) as Vice-President of Human Resources. He is now an independent advisor and founder of the ‘People on Board’ company.

The workshop combined both theories and contemporary HR practices. It was specially delivered on a hotel site so that the students had the opportunity to see part of the theory in practice but also to experiment with a live hotel environment set-up.

As part of the interactive session, the students were asked to design their “ideal place of work” and present their concepts in the form of a picture board.

The opportunity to quiz and gain feedback from such an experienced H.R. practitioner was a great one for our students and will certainly aid them in their professional development.
