Student Ambassador Week

19 April 2018

We welcomed students from our international partner schools to spend a week on the IMI campus and experience our unique atmosphere...

The IMI Student Ambassador Programme (SAP) is an opportunity for selected students from our partner school to come and visit us here in Switzerland.

The idea behind the programme is that paritipcating students learn more about Swiss hosplitality education as well as experiencing the culture and scenery that the country has to offer.

For our most recent SAP we welcomed students from Canada, Malaysia, Thailand and Taiwan representing four of our educational partners in these countries.

Icebreaker activities and a city tour of Luzern kicked off the week before our visitors started to take part in class lectures and get the chance to interact with our current students.

Representing all levels and fields of study that we offer - postgraduate, undergraduate and culinary - the students actively participated in a mix of both theoretical and practical sessions.

For downtime, we took the students on a scenic hike of the local countryside with the warm Spring sunshine making the experience extra pleasant.

They also had the chance to enjoy a wine tasting experience lead by IMI's resident expert Mr. Georgiou as well as attending our International Night which took place at the end of the week and was a perfect way to celebrate the completion of another successful programme.

All of the participants thoroughly enjoyed their week with us and wrote glowing testimonials about their stay. We wish all of them the very best in their futures and hope to welcome them back to IMI very soon!
