Food and Farewells

24 April 2018

We held a special Farewell Buffet lunch to mark the end of term with staff giving the students a break by taking over service duties...

As each term draws to a close, we are always filled with mixed emotions.

While students and staff are always grateful for the short break, we are also aware that it means saying goodbye to some of our IMI family members.

Students completing their undergraduate or postgraduate studies will move on to the next stage of their development in the international hospitality workplace and, while this is incredibly exciting, it is also tinged with a little sadness as we lose some familiar faces from campus.

To mark this occasion, and to also wish good luck to students going on internship, we hold a special stand-up buffet lunch at the end of each term where students and staff can reflect on the past and look forward to their future steps.

As term 2018A comes to a close, we were blessed with beautiful spring sunshine which made the occasion feel even more special and complemented the great work done by the kitchen team in preparing such a delicious buffet.

And, to allow our students to enjoy the experience to the full, the IMI staff took over the duties for the day, serving food and drinks, clearing away and washing and tidying.

This was a great way to send our students off to their future careers and they know that, however far away they travel in future, they always have a home and family to return to here at IMI. We wish them all the very best for their futures!
