BIG welcome for our 2016B students!

11 May 2016

Once again, our welcome BIG Week provided plenty of entertainment for our new students for term 2016B...

In hospitality, a warm welcome is key to making your guests feel immediately at home.

As a hospitality school we like to take exactly the same approach when welcoming our new students each term.

BIG Week 2016B was no exception, as we organised a range of activities and ice-breaker sessions to make our new students feel at ease in their new surroundings.

The week kicked off with our BIG Breakfast where the students got the chance to mix with staff and faculty as well as returning students from previous terms.

With the Swiss sunshine beaming down for most of the week, we made the most of the chance to be outside with our BIG Hike introducing our newcomers to the beautiful Kastanienbaum countryside and our concluding BIG BBQ on the Friday giving everyone the ch ance to relax and unwind as well as enjoying some musical entertainment.

There were also quiz nights and treasure hunts during the week meaning our students had no time to feel homesick as they started to embrace all that IMI as a school has to offer.

We’d like to thank all the staff and students (especially the BIG Week Reps) who worked hard to ensure all activities and events ran smoothly and we can’t wait to do it all over again in 2016C!
