25 Hour Learning

As part of their 'International Hotel Management' unit, we took a group of our MBA students to the 25HoursHotel in Zurich for a special 'People Management' workshop...

As much as we love our time on campus, it's always good to get out and about every now and then.

This is why we take our student on frequent trips and excursions to enhance their classroom learning and give them exposure to working industry figures and environments.

Once such excursion was our MBA visit to 25HoursHotels Zurich West to attend a special 'People Management' workshop led by former VP of Human Resources for FRHI Hotels & Resorts, Mr. Pierre Botteron.

Mr. Botteron has now founded his own company, People On Board LLC, specialising in the effective management and organisation of human resources. He was therefore the ideal person to take our MBA students through the complex, but vastly rewarding, world of people management and organisation.

The workshop involved a series of activities, discussions and presentations where our students could take the theoretical knowledge learnt so far on their programme of study and examine it in the light of real-world situations and case studies.

Presenting back their work, the students also got the opportunity to gain direct feedback from a vastly experienced industry executive. 

We believe these experiences are key to bringing students' study to life and preparing them for the everyday scenarios they will face in their future managerial careers.
