Europa Park Life

18 October 2018

Our regular semester trip to Germany's largest theme park was another great success with students enjoying all the thrills of the rides and roller-coasters...

They say life is a roller-coaster and studying for a hospitality degree certainly can have its ups and downs...

This is why we recognise the importance of down-time for our students and giving them enough opportunity to relax and unwind in between their studies.

One of the most eagerly anticipated events in the IMI social calendar is the regular visit to Germany’s Europa Park.

Offering rides, restaurants, shows and many thrills and spills (see the water rides), the park covers an almost 100,000 m² area and welcomes around six million visitors per year.

The adrenaline-junkies amongst our students had the opportunity to ride some of the longest, fastest and scariest roller-coasters in Europe, while those looking for a more relaxing experience could enjoy the many restaurants and cafes in the different country-themed areas of the park.

The trip proved to be the ideal break from the intense studies that our students have to undertake and the coach-load of sleeping students on the journey home proved that a good time was had by all!
