IMI in Indonesia

21 November 2019

IMI lecturer Dr. Brühlmann used her recent trip to the country to visit our partner schools as well as to catch up with some of our alumni...

They say, to travel is to broaden the mind and, here at IMI, we like to keep our minds as open as possible…

To aid this, we take every opportunity to allow both our faculty and students to travel and experience new cultures and practices.

Indonesia is a country where we have many partner schools and alumni and we took the chance to pay some of them a personal visit when lecturer Dr. Brühlmann visited the country recently.

As well as giving guest lectures and meeting with students at established partner schools Triskati University and Bandung Institute of Tourism, Dr. Brühlmann also visited SMAK BPK Penabur and Limau Bendi to share academic ideas with their students and teaching teams.

Currently, we have 15 Trisakti students studying with us and we look forward to welcoming our next batch in August 2020.

While in the country, there was also the opportunity to catch up with recent-alumni Avina and Annisa as well as an alumnus from one of our first ever intakes, Garna Sobhara, who is now the General Manager of the 101 Jakarta Sedayu hotel.

The trip was a great success and an inspired Dr. Brühlmann returned to Switzerland full of new ideas and enthusiasm to share with our Swiss-based hospitality, business and culinary arts students.
