A message from Manchester Met.

A letter to our students from Professor Jennifer Watling, Pro Vice-Chancellor, International at our UK partner Manchester Metropolitan University...

TO STUDENTS AT INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE

I am the Pro-Vice-Chancellor International at Manchester Metropolitan University. I lead the University’s international work, including our partnership with the International Management Institute (IMI).

As we navigate this time of uncertainty, I wanted to let you know that as a student of Manchester Metropolitan University, even though you may not be with us on campus here in Manchester, your academic success and wellbeing is our priority. Our thoughts are with you and we are working closely with IMI to take action to minimise the impact on your studies and ensure that appropriate arrangements are in place for the delivery of your course and the subsequent assessment of your work.

As the situation develops here in the United Kingdom we are developing our response and, like IMI, we have now moved all of our academic delivery online. We are closely following UK Government health and travel advice to guide our response and I know that IMI is doing likewise in response to the situation as it presents itself in Switzerland. The priority of all of us is to safeguard our students, our employees and the communities in which we operate.

The University and IMI remain firmly committed to ensure that you have the best experience possible in these circumstances. If you have any further queries please refer to the usual point of contact for your programme.

I appreciate that this is a challenging and worrying time for many people around the world. I would like to take this opportunity to convey my best wishes of good health to all of you, and to your families and friends.

Yours sincerely,

Professor Jennifer Watling
Pro Vice-Chancellor, International
