Successful Audits for IMI

16 December 2020

We were pleased to once again complete successful ISO 9001 and EduQua surveillance audits...

As a private school, the independent audit accreditations we receive are an essential mark of quality for any prospective student, stakeholder or partner.

Every year, our academic and administration teams work hard to compile the documentation and evidence required to illustrate our high standards of working practice as an organisation for our external auditors.

We were delighted to once again receive excellent results from our recent ISO 9001 and EduQua surveillance audits, with no conformities found and only minor recommendations for future improvement.

The IS0 9001 standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement, whereas EduQua is the first Swiss quality label safeguarding the standards of adult education programmers in Switzerland.

To receive such positive endorsements from these two internationally-recognised auditing standards is a great validation of the work we do as a school, both in terms of the quality of our academic programmes and the high-standards of management within our organisation.

Commenting on the results, Mr. Anthimos Georgiou, Head of Quality Assurance at IMI, stated that: “We are used to going through two to three rigorous audits each year with our accreditation partners, which not only verify the high quality standards that IMI has but also help us become better.

"IMI will continue to strive for the highest quality education which is part of our culture as an organisation.”

These audit results come on top of successful re-validation events with our UK academic partners earlier in 2020, as well as our school rising once again to 11th place in the QS University World rankings for Hospitality and our culinary institute being names as one of Europe’s Top 20 by the Chef’s Pencil website.

Despite challenging circumstances for all organisations in 2020, these results indicate our ongoing determination as a school to provide the very best experience for both our students and partners. We look forward to moving from strength-to-strength in 2021!
