IMI Dean invited as keynote speaker...

18 March 2016

We believe the best hospitality education combines the latest academic knowledge with real-world practical experience.

That is why all our professors and lecturers come with vast experience of working in the industry and still regularly engage with the latest academic discussions and events.

We were therefore happy to learn that IMI's Academic Dean, Professor Theodore Benetatos, has been invited as a keynote speaker to a leading Indonesian hospitality and tourism seminar.

The Association of the Indonesian Tertiary Tourism Education Institutions (AITTEI) seminar will be held in Phuket, Thailand in April and will bring together leading academics, researchers and practitioners from the industry.

The seminar aims to explore new concepts in hospitality and tourism and strengthen the relationships between among educators, researchers and industry colleagues both within Indonesia and internationally.

Professor Benetatos will share insights from his 20 years working in the industry as well as his extensive experience as an educator in hospitality and tourism.

Participation in such events ensures our academics are always up-to-date with the latest industry thinking and trends and means our students are receiving up-to-the-minute teaching in the classroom.

We wish Professor Benetatos all the best at the seminar and look forward to hearing about his experience when he returns.

Professor Benetatos will speak at the Association of the Indonesian Tertiary Tourism Education Institutions ΓÇô AITTEI 2016. The event will be held from April 6-8 at the Royal Phuket City Hotel in Phuket, Thailand. More information can be found on the event website.
