Coronavirus Update

28 June 2021

Current situation update from IMI International Management Institute...

We are pleased to announce further improvements in the Covid situation in Switzerland. This has led the Swiss Federal Government to announce more easing of restrictions, effective Saturday 26th June 2021.

Guidelines in place at IMI

Here at IMI, we continue to report no known cases of Covid on campus. In the best interests of students and staff, there is, nevertheless, no change in policy for the preventative measures implemented on campus.

Kindly note that wearing face masks indoors on campus remains obligatory for the rest of Term B.

Similarly, other precautionary measures already in place remain unchanged:

  • No shaking hands or hugging other people
  • Washing hands regularly
  • Using disinfectant often
  • Maintaining a distance of 1.5m from other people
  • Group meetings should be held through MS Teams if the minimum distance between group members cannot be maintained
  • Avoid unnecessary trips away from the campus and if you have to leave the campus, please be careful and observe the above guidelines at all times;
  • Random temperature checks will be performed by IMI Reception and the Duty Supervisors;
  • Visitors are allowed on campus ONLY for business reasons or meetings, with prior approval from one of the Directors, and must always sign in and sign out at Reception;
  • IMI Travel Guidelines as circulated on the 21st May 2021 remain valid.

Covid Vaccination

Several students and staff have been vaccinated already. Students can register for the vaccination following the instructions provided in previous communications. Students should inform the IMI Reception once they receive their appointment date(s).

A reminder that worldwide travel guidelines keep changing regularly, and airlines may have specific requirements too, so any students planning to travel during the Summer Break, should ensure they do the appropriate research. If students need to book a PCR test before flying, the IMI Reception can guide them accordingly.

Please continue to be vigilant and contact Reception IMI immediately on MS TEAMS if you feel unwell or develop typical Covid-19 symptoms.
