MBA Hotels Visit

10 June 2016

Our MBA students visited two of Luzern's leading hotels to get an overview of their daily operations...

When it comes to hospitality education, classroom teaching, while important, must always be supported by practical exposure.

At IMI, we offer this exposure in various forms through practical classes on campus, internship placements in Switzerland and abroad, but also through visits to local hotels and hospitality providers.

Our MBA students, as part of their International Hotel Management module, has the chance to visit two of Luzern's best known and impressive hotels.

Five-star Hotel Palace and Grand Hotel National offer luxury hospitality to the many tourists who visit Luzern each year.

Our students were given exclusive access to both properties with a guided tour and explanation of the operational procedures involved both front and back of house.

This invaluable insight into hotel management operations strengthens and consolidates the theory learnt in the classroom and brings to life the lessons in an engaging manner.

We would like to thank both establishments for their time and (of course) their kind hospitality.
