International Night Returns!

03 November 2021

After over a year, it was incredible to welcome the return of one of the best loved events in the IMI social calendar...

The IMI campus was once again full of colourful costumes, delicious aromas, and lots of smiling faces as we celebrated our International Night.

This event, which showcases the best of our students' national cultures, has been missing from the social calendar for over a year due to Covid restrictions and its return was warmly welcomed by all.

Students seemed extra motivated by the long absence and pulled out all the stops with their food stalls and cultural performances which always form the climax of the evening.

With student health and safety still in mind, we had a limited guess list for the event, but all in attendance were amazed by the range and quality of the national cuisines on offer and thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment which included song, dance and even some stand-up comedy.

A big thanks must go to the student Social Representative Committee (SRC) and all the volunteers who worked tirelessly to organise the event and ensure its smooth running on the night.

The return of this popular event felt quite symbolic in representing the greater freedoms that we are now enjoying both on campus and in Switzerland and we look forward to more and more of these occasions in the up-coming months.
