Stagiaires Programme at IMI

We were delighted to welcome a group of young students from Eastern Europe for a special two-week stagiaires programme at IMI...

At IMI, one of our goals is to open up world-leading hospitality education to as many students as possible.

To facilitate this, we are constantly looking to evolve our range of study options to offer the IMI experience in different forms, programmes and structures.

Towards the end of 2021, we were pleased to welcome a group of students from Eastern Europe to join us for a two-week Stagiaires programme.

This practical-based course allowed the students to perfect their service skills through training in both our Main Dining Hall and fine-dining Swiss Room restaurant.

It also offered them the opportunity to strengthen their German language skills with all training conducted in German and special hospitality-focused German classes to consolidate their knowledge.

On completion of their two-weeks at IMI, the students then went on to start a three-month paid internship placement here in Switzerland at one of the country’s many traditional hotels.

This practical experience is a great opportunity for them to develop both their service and language skills even further and truly appreciate the meaning of “Swiss hospitality”.

We wish all the students the very best on their placements and hope to be able to welcome them back to IMI in the future!
