Visit to Hotel Schweizerhof

13 September 2016

A group of our MBA students were given exclusive access to Luzern's most iconic 5* hotel...

Being situated next to the popular tourist city of Luzern, we are lucky at IMI to have access to a wide range of leading hotels and resorts.

Perhaps Luzern's most famous hotel, Hotel Schweizerhof, invited a group of our MBA students for an exclusive tour to see behind the scenes at this iconic venue.

During the visit, Mr. Pascal Bandi, Front Office Manager at Hotel Schweizerhof, introduced our students to the hotel's ISO Quality Management system and explained how it is implemented in different departments.

He took the group around a comprehensive tour of the hotel including the restaurants, kitchens, rooms and suites.

Most excitingly, he also revealed the mystery of how the famous colour illuminations of the hotel's windows works (although we can't give away that trade secret here...).

The visit was a great opportunity for our students to gain insight into the running and management of a top, luxury hotel and be able to interact directly with management personnel.

We would like to thank Mr. Bandi and everyone at Hotel Schweizerhof for their hospitality and generosity!
