A very autumnal BIG Week

15 November 2016

BIG Week is back for term 2016D with a special harvest theme to welcome our new students....

We are always excited to welcome our new students each term and are equally excited to see what our BIG Week events committee have come up with for the student welcome.

For the start of our term 2016D, BIG Week has a Harvest Special theme, celebrating all the best aspects of autumn and the beautiful countryside that surrounds us here in Kastanienbaum.

The week began, as normal, with our BIG Welcome Breakfast where new and returning students and staff got the chance to meet each other and get to know each other better.

Carrying on with the food theme, we the held a special Swiss lunch where students could experience the fun-filled dining experience that is fondue for the first time.

We rounded off day one of BIG Week with our traditional Alpenhorn demonstration. As well as learning a little about these ornate, Swiss instruments, our students also had the opportunity to try their hand (or should that be lips..?) at playing the horns.

It was another great opening to BIG Week and a lovely way for our new students to start to feel comfortable and at home in their new IMI family surroundings.
