International Student Ambassadors

12 December 2016

We welcomed six students from our international partner schools to spend a week with us here on campus...

So confident are we in the IMI experience, that we like to think people will travel a long way for it...

This was certainly true last week when we welcomed student ambassador visitors from Malaysia, Thailand and Korea.

The students had been nominated by their IMI partner school to come and spend a week with us here in Kastanienbaum and experience what makes our school so special.

Travelling from Woosong Univesity in Korea, Bangkok University in Thailand and Tunku Abdul Rahman University College in Malaysia, our visitors certainly had an action-packed week.

As well as getting the chance to mingle with current students and staff and attend special classes, the ambassadors also enjoyed a trip to the top of Switzerland's famous Mount Pilatus with its spectacular views over the Kanton of Luzern.

To ensure the full Swiss-experience, we also took the students to enjoy a fondue evening and sample some of Luzern's festive Christmas markets.

As a conclusion to the week, our guests delivered presentations on the cultural differences they had noticed between Switzerland and their homeland before being awarded special certificates commemorating their time at IMI.

It was a real pleasure for us to be able to host such professional and curious young students and we wish the visiting ambassadors all the best in their ongoing education and would be delighted to see them return to IMI in the near future!
