Culinary lecturer Jonas Grip joins our ICI teaching staff while IMI alumnus John Rölli starts as Head Chef for our Main Dining Hall kitchen.
They say an army marches on its stomach and at IMI it's certainly true that our students rely on their daily nourishment to study effectively.
Chef Jonas, of Swedish nationality, will work as lecturer on our International Culinary Arts degree programme and brings with him a wealth of both teaching and industry experience.
Most recently working as Executive Chef and Head of Culinary Arts Studies at IMI partner school SWISSAM, he has held positions in restaurants across the world including Russia, Australia, Singapore, Thailand and Sweden.
These international culinary travels mean he brings a vast knowledge of different cultures' flavours and ingredients which will no doubt be of great benefit to our students.
Among many notable customers, Chef Jonas had the honour of cooking for the King of Sweden on his 50th birthday and we have no doubt that the food he produces with our students will be fit for royalty!
Chef John is Swiss/Malaysian and previously completed his degree studies here at IMI.
This close knowledge of the school, alongside extensive work experience both in Switzerland and abroad, means he is ideally placed to maintain the high-standard of food in our Main Dining Hall.
Leading our kitchen team, he will continue to develop the range and variety of food served to our students here on the campus.
We are very excited to try the food produced by both new chefs and wish them a great start and a warm welcome to the IMI family.
