Short CoursesSummer Programme
Switzerland is rightly famed for its world-leading standards of hospitality and a proud tradition of service excellence.
However, reputations such as this are not formed by chance. There is a highly-structured system of training and certifications in place to ensure that standards do not fall below the very best.
IMI’s Diplom-HF is a Swiss federal award (currently under recognition by the SBFI) which prepares students using the same standards of training required to operate a hospitality business within Switzerland.
As part of this, we hold a one-day KOPAS training programme here on campus where a representative of EKAS (the Swiss body responsible for health and safety and accident prevention in the workplace) visits to teach our students the essentials of workplace safety.
By undergoing the same training that anyone who want to run or operate a guest-serving business within the country has to complete, our Diplom-HF students are exposed to the most rigid of safety standards meaning, whether they go on to operate a business here in Switzerland or internationally, they will have the very best training behind them to aid their decision making.
Many thanks to EKAS representative Peter Hess for administering the training and a big congratulations to our students who are now officially KOPAS certified!
