Partner school visit

13 March 2017

We were delighted to welcome students from partner school KDU University College on campus to complete some of their units of study here in Switzerland...

IMI has a longstanding relationship with our Malaysian partner school KDU University College (KDU UC) and we frequently welcome their students on campus to experience our Swiss hospitality.

For their most recent visit (and for the first time ever) the KDU UC students actually completed some of their study units here with us in Kastanienbaum.

This was part of our joint, international unit which saw IMI lecturer Mr. Ioannis Evagelou travel to Malaysia in January to teach the first part of the topic, before the KDU UC students completed the unit with us last week.

As part of their ‘Sustainable Trends in Tourism & Hospitality' unit, our visiting students had to present on their chosen topic as well as premiere special videos that they had made before coming to IMI.

They then received feedback from the IMI faculty before being presented with unit completion certificates at the end of the week at a special awards ceremony.

As well as the academic elements of the visit, the KDU UC students were also able to mix with our students and exchange ideas and thoughts both inside and outside of the classroom.

Students and faculty from both KDU UC and IMI judged the visit a great success and we are already looking forward to welcoming the next batch of KDU UC students here in June…
