At IMI, our lecturers do a lot more than just teach...

Each one of them respected academics in their own fields, our faculty are active in working on research projects, contributing to industry papers and journals and speaking at conferences and workshops.

Travelling to Bali, Indonesia this June, IMI CEO Professor Theodore Benetatos appeared as a keynote speaker at the Asia Pacific Chrie Conference (APacCHRIE).

APacCHRIE is an annual conference that brings together hospitality and tourism stakeholders from around the globe to share ideas and research on a particular theme.

This year’s focus was on ‘The future of hospitality and tourism: Opportunities and challenges’ – a broad and ambitious topic that looked to examine the future direction of the industry both in the Asia Pacific region and globally.

Professor Benetatos’ keynote address focused on the future of Marketing within the industry and looked at how new technological advancements have realigned the landscape when it comes to communication between businesses and their customers.

The event was a great success and we believe that through participation in such events, our faculty have even more insight and knowledge to offer our students in the classroom.

We would like to thank the organisers of APacCHRIE for inviting us to participate in this event and we look forward to continued collaboration in forthcoming years.
