Indonesian Culinary Masterclass

18 May 2016

We were delighted to welcome Chef Oqke Prawira to our kitchen to deliver an Indonesian culinary masterclass...

To succeed in the international culinary industry, it is important to be familiar with as many different food cultures as possible.

That is why, at IMI, we welcome guest lecturers from across the globe to expose our students to the maximum number of styles, techniques and ingredients.

We were very pleased to be joined this week by Chef Oqke Prawira, who teaches at Indonesian partner school Swiss German University.

Chef Prawira took our students through a range of traditional Indonesian recipes including classic dishes such as Soto Ayam, Acar Kuning and Ayam Panggang Bumbu Bali.

This was a great opportunity for our students to discover new flavour combinations and learn about a country's culinary cuisine from an expert.

Our students really enjoyed the masterclass and now can't wait to use their newly acquired skills and ideas in future recipe creations.

We offer a big thanks to Chef Prawira for taking the time to come and visit us and work with our students and we look forward to welcoming many more guest lecturers over the upcoming weeks.
