Winter Sports

10 December 2018

The colder weather did not prevent a high turnout for our December Sports Day as students competed across a range of games and activities...

As Winter draws in, the temptation is to stay wrapped up warm inside and go into a state of hibernation.

However, at IMI we are an active bunch and, with a busy academic schedule throughout the season, wanted to ensure our students kept as physically active as they would have to be mentally.

Our Winter Sports Day was the perfect opportunity for a bit of energy release with students competing in a range of events and games. The theme of this Sports Day was “Healthy Body, Healthy Mind” as students competed not only in the more traditional sports events, but also in a series of strategy and board games that required more mental dexterity than physical strength.

Both the outdoor sports and the indoor theory games were well attended and students enjoyed flexing both their physical and mental muscles in a more diverse range of competitive challenges.

With Sports Day out of the way, we can feel slightly better about the inevitable feasting that will take place during the Christmas period.
