Be our guest!

25 February 2020

Our latest Open Day saw us welcoming visitors from the UK to our campus to meet staff and students and experience our best Swiss hospitality...

As a hospitality school, it is important that we are able to practice what we preach!

This is why every IMI staff member, as well as student, follows a simple check-list of hospitality basics, from the everyday greeting when we pass each other in the corridor to always ensuring we go above-and-beyond when dealing with a guest or visitor’s needs.

These skills are prominently on display during our regular Open Day events, where we welcome guests from around the world to our campus to give them an introduction to what makes our school so special.

For our most recent event, we were visited by a group of young students from the UK, all interested in pursuing degree study in hospitality or business management or international culinary arts.

The itinerary for the day included campus tours, personal academic consultations and a four-course, fine-dining lunch in our Swiss Room restaurant. There was also the opportunity for our guests to speak with current students to get first-hand accounts of life at a Swiss hospitality school.

At the end of the day, we took the visitors into the city of Luzern so that they could experience the Fasnacht carnival that takes place every year and is one of the most colourful and fun of the Swiss cultural traditions.

All our guests commented very positively on the Open Day experience and took away a lot of useful information. If you are interested in attending one of our future Open Day events, you can see all the up-coming dates here on our Events page.
