More good news from our UK validating partner Manchester Met., who have recently been awarded a Queen's Anniversary Prize...

Success in the field of education has many different measures - academic scores, student satisfaction, community engagement - but it doesn't get much higher than royal approval!

IMI’s UK validating partner, Manchester Metropolitan University, was recently awarded one of the highest national honours available in the UK – a Queen’s Anniversary Prize.

These prizes are given to colleges and universities whose work shows excellence, innovation and impact as well as delivering real public benefit.

Manchester Met. received the prize for their ‘Mother Tongue Other Tongue’ poetry contest which encourages younger children to write a poem in their mother tongue to celebrate the diversity of both language and the local community.

The award, a silver gilt medallion and a certificate signed by Her Majesty The Queen, was presented to Manchester Met. Vice-Chancellor Professor Malcolm Press and Pro Vice-Chancellor for Arts and Humanities Professor Sharon Handley by their Royal Highnesses, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.

Everyone at IMI would like to offer their congratulations to our colleagues in Manchester for this excellent achievement!
