Farewell Apéro and BBQ

13 July 2020

We bade a fond farewell to students finishing their studies with us or leaving for internship at our traditional end-of-term apéro event...

The end of another term means the usual bitter-sweet moment of saying farewell to the students who are finishing their studies with us as well as those leaving for an internship placement.

This term has been particularly unusual as we have all had to come to terms with the challenges and restrictions presented by the Covid-19 outbreak.

We are pleased to see that the attitude of our staff and students has remained positive and resilient throughout the past few months and studies and student life have continued, so far as possible, as normal.

It seemed fitting then, that we threw a celebratory BBQ to end the term and wish our students the very best in their next steps.

As well as the usual delicious food prepared by our kitchen team and the bar manned by our student volunteers, we were also treated to musical entertainment from locally based singer-songwriter Giovanni Bassano.

Playing a selection of classic and more contemporary songs, he soon had students (and staff) on their feet dancing to ensure a true party spirit throughout the event.

This was a great opportunity for students and faculty to look back over fond memories of their study time here at the school and discuss the many exciting future possibilities waiting for them in the industry.

We wish all our graduating students the very best in their future lives and careers and look forward to welcoming them back to IMI in the future to hear of all their successes!
