Sports Day(s)

19 October 2020

A slightly weather-interrupted Sports Day meant we ended up holding the events over two weekends - double the fun for our students...

Now more than ever, it is important for us all to keep healthy, active and fit.

One silver-lining of the current travel restrictions is that students have been able to spend more weekends around the IMI campus and make the most of our spectacular natural surroundings.

They have also been able to get more practice and training in ahead of our regular semester Sports Day.

Held over two weekends, the Sports Day events included football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis and pool. Students competed in teams and, while everyone was trying hard to win, all the games were played in a good spirit of friendly competitiveness.

While student focus is rightly on their studies, we also encourage them to use their free time to exercise and get out into our fresh Kastanienbaum air and enjoy the nearby lake, forests and mountains.

This is not only an effective means of clearing your head after a long week of study, but also a great way to keep both mind and body in good shape resulting in more relaxed, focused and happier students.

We would like to thank the SRC team members who took the lead in the organisation of the Sports Day events and all those students who participated and supported.
